Stability and Thermal Degradability
GOHSENOL™ products are chemically stable polymer compounds and usually do not putrefy, decompose, or polymerize on their own at room temperature. Color changes of GOHSENOL™ occur slowly when the temperature reaches or exceeds 100°C, within a short time when the temperature reaches or exceeds 150°C, and very rapidly at 200°C or above, when thermal decomposition starts.
Biodegradability
PVOH (PVA) is an eco-friendly biodegradable resin. As a PVOH/PVA product of Mitsubishi Chemical, GOHSENOL™ has been registered on the “GreenPla” positive list by the Japan BioPlastics Association.
