Film Forming Properties
Excellent Film Forming and Mechanical Properties
GOHSENOL™ has outstanding film forming properties and its film exhibits excellent features such as transparency, gas barrier performance, solvent resistance, anti-fog properties, antistatic properties, moisture permeability, and high water solubility. With these features, the product is being widely applied to various packaging materials. The higher the degree of polymerization and saponification, the higher the mechanical strength of GOHSENOL™ film.

Property Changes through the Absorption of Moisture
GOHSENOL™ is hygroscopic. Its hygroscopicity is lower than that of other water-soluble resins, such as carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), and increases more slowly at high humidity. However, hygroscopicity changes depending on outdoor humidity, resulting in changes in its mechanical and physical properties.
